INCO, The Foreign Residents Cultural Organisation of the Aghios Nikolaos Area, to give it its full title - was founded in 1998.
One of its primary objectives was, and still is, to enable incoming foreign nationals to integrate into the local community and to participate fully in local life. INCO incorporates a vast pool of information and experience about settling into life on this beautiful island of Crete. Some members have lived here for many years, some have married Greeks and raised families here, and quite a few own and operate businesses in the area.
INCO also acts as the umbrella organisation for a number of special interest groups
- the Theatre Group
- the Gardening Club
- the Rainbow Choir
- the Photographic Group
- the Neapoli Group
- promoting their activities and providing financial and other support where this is required and to the extent funds permit.
